Welcome to the board Sheldon!

r u using pccillin 2000 (or what av software r u using?) by any chance?

this happened to me before when i 'killed' (ctrl/alt/del) the pop3trap task of pccillin...

or it might just be an isolated situation of the server being busy...

i donno what u mean by 'html setup'...

i thot u r using MS Outlook; or is it Outlook Express?

if u can d/load hotmail but NOT yahoo, i am almost certain it's something wrong with ur account;

either:
  • try registering a new account on yahoo and see if u can reproduce the error? OR
  • remove the email account from your outlook and simply re-do it

Just as an fyi, as of a few weeks ago Yahoo only supports pop3 email on its premier (paid) email accounts. Freebies must use web interface.
