Question

Which one is a better deal in your opinion??

I'm looking for a low priced but decent video card. I have been looking at these two:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...600&CatId=1095

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&sku=C261-6042

They're a Radeon 9600SE 128mb and a Radeon 9200SE 128mb, for $78 and $50 respectively. Which one is a better bargain in your guys' opinion? I'm looking for price/performance ratio...

This is my budget. I'd like to find the best one for around these prices. I'm focusing on ATI chipsets only with 128mb of RAM...

P.S. If you think about telling me to get a GeForce, forget it... Part of the joy of playing games is not having your computer crash

Update!!

I found the exact same 9600se on newegg.com for $63.00 instead of $78.00... It's made by Rosewill instead of Sapphire, which probably makes no difference.

BUT THE SALE ENDS TOMORROW!!

I have been researching specs that are sort of technical to me.. both the 9200se and 9600se have 4 pipelines, 64 bit 128mb DDR memory, etc. They are very similar, but the GPU speed may be different- the 9600se I'm looking at on newegg has 325mhz... I have no clue what the 9200se speed is. It is probably slower than 325mhz.

So... The 9600se for $63, or the 9200se for $50???

I really need to get some opinions from people... I need opinions... How can you say no to Blaze (my avatar)?

I don't think you need an opinion really... I think you already know what you're going to get (which is what I would get if I were in your shoes today). The obvious choice is the 9600. Don't ask me why because I will just say, "9600 > 9200, duh!"

Yeah... That's what Blaze is telling me... I found out the 9200 is only 200mhz, compared to 325mhz of the 9600. I looked at some benchmarks and both are not that good but for only 13 bucks more, I'll get the 9600.
