First PHP


I want to write and design my first PHP but I need a little help. What I need is a simple script that will serach a MySQL database for txt file and return the link to that file to the users browser.

I was considering the script and it searching a database and I have found that since its searching for txt file in a dir It doesn't need a database.

what will the files hold? html, text (content)?

whatever you do, post some code so we know what to suggest.

then use the db instead of files... why files? there are more disadvantages than the other way around!

The txt I was going to use are FAQs for games. Is there a way to load that into a db well I know there is a better question how.

Just ask very specific questions and I'll walk you through it... you'll thank me for it!
