Thread split from: access violation.


FYI, this forum is NOT dead. I know that I read every single post and reply here on GIDForums™ and so does dsmith, GarthFarley, WaltP and the others, I suspect. It's just that this particular forum, the MS Visual C++ / MFC Forum is still very young (being the last forum recently opened here at GIDForums™), and lacks it's resident 'experts'. For now, you guys are it!

Also, if no one has anything intelligent to add to a thread, it's better to leave the thread unanswered. The forum threads are SO search engine friendly, it WILL attract people with a similar question eventually.

That's how we always ran the forum and that's how we will keep running it.

No Luci, that was certainly not directed at you neither was it directed to anyone in particular; I was just trying to explain why a thread here would remain unanswered. You (Luci) have been helpful in the past and you were trying to be helpful in this thread too - it's appreciated.

I was just commenting that on some forums, it's very normal for some members to post a reply just for the sake of posting a reply (or just to give everyone else the impression that the forums are not dead).

I am going to split this thread to remove these off topic messages soon...
