I didn't... it came with the software/script; vBulletin.
But what Garth and I designed for our BBCode class (which I use on the rest of the site) is: use preg_match_all() to find all occurences of the [ PHP ] tags, saving it to an array then using str_replace() to process the code. It's quite ingenious actually... Not surprisingly, our code works even better then the one on this board! __________________
