Can any one help?

After loading on WIndows ME, I cant change the display resolution. Both the colours and screen area wont change. There is no drop down menu. It is stuck on 16 bit and the slider wont move
Ive tried loading on the drivers for the monitor(Samsung Syncmaster 172V) but an error comes up something along the lines of problem with Monsetup and dirapi.dll. If problems continue try restarting the PC!!
The Video card is fine and the drivers are loaded on for that fine.

When Windows Xp is loaded on this doesnt happen.

Hey. It's a driver issue really. Either the video card or the monitor are not set up correctly. Make sure you have the most recent drivers for both components.

I never thought that dlls were installed for monitors. It might help to go to Device Manager & see if there's a yellow question mark anywhere.

I know once Windows XP is on it will be fine and i wont need to do it but its just in my quest for knowledge!!

I guess it is the monitor drivers but i cant load them on. Ive been onto the samsung page and cant open the drivers they have got on their homepage.
Is dll files something to do with Shockwave??

There are 3 yellow question marks (of the top of my head I cant remember what they are but they arent anything to do with the monitor...i dont think!!)
