Im looking to buy this internal dvd-rw for my Dell Inspiron 1100 notebook. But im not positive if its compatible or not. Tried contacting Dell Customer Support, but their customer service is just a waste of time. Was hoping if any of you new if this writer would be compatible with my system.

Its a TOSHIBA 2X DVD-RW Slim Internal Drive, Model SD-R6112, OEM

And I have a Dell Inspiron 1100 with WinXP Professional, 256mb ddr, 20g HD, and 2.4ghz Pentium 4.
