Question

Problem Loading module in apache

I am total beginner to apache, mysql, php.

In the book that i have which really sucks because almost all version of the 3 softwares have been updated.

It ask me to type in:
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php3 .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps

I added these in the AddTypeapplication area in the httpd.conf file.

Then i added LoadModule php4_module c:/php/sapi/php4apache.dll

i also put in the ini file manually in the WINDOWS FOLDER........I put all the files where the book tells me to put it

and when i restart it it either freezes or the test php page does not want to come up is this a php problem since i added these configurations or is it an apache problem if so how can i fix it.

Thank You In Advance!!

Remember i am a beginner take it easy on me

Hello redcell184,

Which version of Windows (if you're using Windows) and which version of Apache and PHP?
