Question

User Updatable Content

I have been asked to create a website for my brothers football team but I need to create a page that contains all the league tables and match results. The manager needs to beable to update this page after every match from his computer. But I don't want to give him the password to my ftp account. Is there a way of letting him update the content online using a special web page or something. The only problem is I am using a free hosting service that doesn't support asp or anything like that. Can u help me!!!

JdS will become famous soon enough
Hello mjdj,

I don't really see how this is possible without some sort of server-side scripting language support. If there's a way, I am not aware of it.

I am not very ASP-inclined and I doubt anyone else on this forum is (at the moment). You might try to get some ASP-specific help from these guys instead...

Yeah, it does get a little complicated -- you're dealing now with a programming language (sort of) instead of just a page markup language. And although the concept is simple, I haven't gotten file reading to work in ASP, only DataBase access. I'm definitely missing something.

One option is to give him a program that will generate the page from his data and email it to you for posting.
