phpmyadmin--what format for text files to upload?I am using phpmyadmin to upload a text file to a MySql
database. I have tried Excel CVS files and they do not work. My text file is comma-delimited with a semi-colon ending each row. I leave the first column blank for auto- increment and everything uploads to phpmyadmin and looks ok- even the id is auto-incremented. However, the information does not show in my dropdown menu results when queried. HOWEVER: when I "insert" on record at a time manually, the querys work. Any ideas? Your help is greatly appreciated. I can post relevant code, but I think the code may be ok? |
