amd 2.8, 512 ram, and geforce fx go5600. do u think i will meet the requirments?

Hard to say has the requirements haven't been officially released. But I would think that you should be ok.

Generally, for the same class of processor, AMD is better for gaming than Intel. Do you mean an Athlon 2800+ or 2.8 ghz? I'm suprised if an Athlon is 2.8 ghz.. It must be smoking.

I seriously doubt that the requirements will exceed your specs but no matter how good your processor and RAM, if your graphics card decides to whine and snivel about what it was made to do, you're stuck...

Doom3 is freaking huge, Im running a Radeon9600xt 128mb - p4 3.2 800mhzFSB - 1.5gb DDR 400 ram - and i struggle with the High Graphics settings ( it is choppy in firefights ) I wouldnt be suprised if your laptop would just have a stroke from playing this game on low graphics =] I heard that the new Radeon X800 is the best card, and it blows Doom3 away (although doom3 is Nvidia sponsored) I would get a X800 but they are like $550 yeesh!

I think you will have to keep the graphics detail low.
