Is my BIOS damaged?

Alrighty, I was moving and I shipped my computer from my old home to my new one. When I got it though, windows (XP)wouldn't start. A message came up when I turned on the computer that said 'memory size decrease'.

I tested my RAM and my harddrives on other computers, and they work fine. I am also getting this message:

SCSI BIOS not installed!
No SCSI Boot device found.

Did my BIOS get erased in transit? Could something else be wrong? How would I go about reinstalling the BIOS?

I'm not totally sure as I have never seen this problem before. But I think that updating the BIOS will be a good start. Depending on your motherboard you will need to be very careful when doing this. Found out the make and model of your motherboard and then go to the makers website there should be an updated bios for download there and you should be able to find out how to do it.

Hope this helps

It sounds like verycleanteeth can't even start his OS. Verycleanteeth, did you check to make sure that the SCSI cable is plugged in tightly? It might sound obvious but you never know.. I'm not too familiar with SCSI, is there some sort of controller for it, pcxgamer? If so, that might be damaged.

Almost forgot to ask: verycleanteeth, is there a DOS prompt that shows up? That would be a good start. If not, and you checked all the connections and such, I would try out all the components on another motherboard.. Whatever the problem, it sounds MB related. If all you did between the last time you turned the computer off, and the first time you got that error was move it, then either something is damaged or a connection is loose.
