If you have a CD Burner in your system XP has a build-in burner. Just open my computer and them click on the cd rw drive and drag and drop your files in. This may only be a XP pro thing not sure has I don't own Xp home.

You can also burn CDs in Realplayer and Windows media player, although I've never tried them. I think of it as a backup to Nero..

Yes, I can confirm that installing the latest Windows Media Player, you will have the ability to burn CDs with it too - I just happened to update my Windows Media Player yesterday..
 I don't think I will be using it though!__________________

Isn't there a free version of Nero out there? I think just about every CDR/W drive comes with a Nero CD these days.
