PasswordI have a CD which needs a password which I have lost. I would think it is on the CD somewhere to be compared. The vendor no longer exists.

Welcome to GidForum...though I think you've started off posting in the wrong forum.

Ok first welcome to GIDForums™ alfhyde.
I moved your thread to the right forum. Now can you tell me a little more about this CD?__________________

CDs themselves cannot be password protected. There's nothing stopping you viewing it's contents, right? It's the contents of the CD that are password protected.
What exactly is on the CD? Is an executable file that asks for your password, or are the contents of the CD encrypted somehow - and you've to use a program on your PC to decrypt? Is this password a product key for some software? GF |

Hmmm, we don't condone illegal practices here, so please nobody start posting up links to places where you can find product keys!
