regarding Apache configuration

Hello all,

i have configured apache for linux and windows separately,

what i want is: whenever i log in to windows or linux...the same directory has to be accessible by the outside world..

i.e. when i m in linux my document root is : /var/www/html

but if i m on linux how can others access the documents which i have placed in /var/www/html

thank you very much

If I understand correctly,
I think your best shot will be making the Linux apache using the Windows drive, that should be mounted.

that could be done like: (line in /etc/fstab)
Code:
/dev/hda1 /mnt/hda1 vfat auto,users,exec,umask=000,uid=USER,gid=USER 0 0
where USER is your linux username
and where /mnt/hda1 is your windows drive

Re: pls go through this also..thank you

Hi,

Thank you very much for your kind reply,

but what i really wanted is : if i m on windows then is it possible that i my apache server can access the linux /var/www/html ,

i know one software that is explore2fs but that's not automatic software ...we need to run it explicitly...

thanks once again,

regards
