I made this website for my independent film company. Rate it, and tell me what it needs please. Thanks

Well first it needs a link to the website ;-)

If that is the correct site, then:

a) Some people find "click to enter" home pages http://www.netmechanic.com/news/vol3/promo_no13.htm

b) Once I make it to the "real" home page, the first thing I read about is how to contact the company. However, I cannot determine from the home page what it is the website is actually about, so this seems like a misplaced priority.

c) The HTML on home.html could possibly use some cleaning up. For example, there's some data after the final </html> which is not kosher (and, indeed, begins with a comment saying "PLEASE REMOVE").

d) Images/pimpz.jpg (and possibly other images) is used on more than one page, but your server is not configured to tell client browsers that they can safely cache it for a reasonable amount of time without re-checking to see if it's changed. If your server is Apache, google for "mod_expires" for more info on this topic.

e) It seems like the movie P.I.M.P.Z. might be a priority for the website. However, the use of graphics instead of text to refer to it means that the title is unlikely to score well in the search engines (on top of the problem of figuring out how someone who hears the title is likely to type it in a search engine). With a short amount of looking, I was unable to find any "p.i.m.p.z." string that would be visible to a search engine spider.

f) I also note that pimpz.com and pimpz.org are both already owned, further complicating the ability to use the web to promote an independent movie with this title.

g) There seems to be more content devoted to off-topic subjects (such as reviews of big Hollywoord movies), than to what I'm guessing is the real purpose of the website. Got any scenes complete you can include stills from? How about a snippet or two of dialog from the screen play to give a flavor of the piece? Etc.

This site is just a set up for now. Until our first film(Confiens of the Mind) hits the film festivals, this site will be almost useless. Your pimpz statement is a good one, we might need to think about a change in title. And the reason I have the movie reviews there is beause I was bored. Once our film is out, those reviews will be gone. Good idea about the screenplay thing as well. Thank you.
