i have the slim type LSC-24082K DVD/CD-rw drive . Actually it doesn't recognize any CD-rom neither DVD, but it can burn Cd from data on my computer to CD. So i wonder what is wrong with it.
When i introduce a Cd : the propertie is RAW but i know that isn't that type of data.
can someone help me ?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers or maybe just updating the drivers? Also which windows are you running?

i use Windows XP home. I don't know how i can uninstall the drivers and reinstall them.
I verify that the problem doesn't come from the Nero 6 because i uninstall it and the drive still be broken : when i introduce any CD, my computer writes CD-R instead of DVD/CD-rom and a message like " please introduce a CD".
so i don't inderstand.
