English Movie

Hi guys,

I just watched the movie "The Day After Tomorow" yesterday and I think its good.. its actually brings the same way of presentation as any other 'nature disaster' movies, but this one seems interesting with its special effects..

what do you think about this movie??

It was pretty nice, I think the special effects were very good too.

It is hard to describe without giving much detail about the movie, but I will say it is one of those movies, that after you know the ending, it isn't as good to see again.

It just keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next.

Yes, this is one of the 2 movies I REALLY want to watch, the other is Troy... can't wait! These are the kinds of movies that you want to make sure you get the seat right in the center of the cinema, otherwise it's just a waste of time.

I heard an intersting review of Troy recently. The critic basically said it was a great flick, but felt that Brad Pitt was miscast (too modern a persona). He kept expecting him to blurt out "DUDE, where's my sword?"! 8-)

I didn't think that at all, I thought he seemed like a really good actor in this movie.

It is definately worth going to see!

Really? Man, that's depressing... I haven't seen it yet. I haven't seen "The Day After Tomorrow" either but we got tickets for it tonight.

Trying to get seats to watch a movie in KL is getting to be ridiculous nowadays, the best seats we could find yesterday were for Harry Potter and we booked one day ahead

Back on topic... (I split the interesting but off-topic posts into it's own thread here).

About "The Day After Tomorrow"; this has to be one of the silliest movies of this year - make that last year too! Now I know why some of the scientist who watched the premiere came out of it giggling!

I mean, there's that scene of the multiple "twisters" coming down on Hollywood and people are still 'hanging around', taking pictures and reporters even reporting live at the scene. What is that???

Then there's the retard security guy and the French-speaking African lady and her child stuck in a cab and they are in about 3 feet of water and he is explaining to her that he cannot understand what she's trying to say!?

I am sure there were other stupid and illogical scenes like this - but I just mostly concentrated on my pop corns after that...
