Well, I went to turn my computer on this morning and it went crazy. After it goes throught the bios and starts to boot Windows XP, it gets to the screen that show the XP logo and scrolling indicator and imidiately gives a blue screen. it says:

STOP: 0x00000024 (0x001902f8, 0xf9eb5908, 0xf9eb5608, 0xf96cdbf1)

ntfs.sys - address f96cdbf1 base at f9655000, date stamp 3b7dc5do

Anyone know what this is about, I haven't installed anything new lately.

Can you boot in safe mode (F8?) or do you have a bootable XP CD?

Sounds like there is a problem on the harddisk & the file system. You will need the bootable XP disk to repair this.

Go into the recovery console, and run chkdsk /f (or /r) and see if that works.

This is by no means guaranteed, but has worked 3 times for me! Here's more info: www.updatexp.com
