Emailing HTMLI have created a newsletter on my website that I would like to Email... Two problems.... 1st is that it is taking too much time so send and recieve the email, I have made the pictures links to files on the website, but outlook express seems to download them first and then send them with the email, slowing everything down.... NExt problem is that if someone recieves the newsletter and wants to forward it.... they cannot add any text without it appearing over the newsletter itself.... how do I make it seperate the forwarding text, with that of the newslettter?
Any advice is very appreciated. |

from what i understood from your post, you're just trying to email a page off your website as a newsletter?
If that is true, then using Outlook is your only option. If you want to send newletters that you create online, hit submit and all your newletter subscribers get the email, then you need a Newletter script (which you can find for free at www.hotscripts.com or other such sites). The last time i browsed for one (which was a long time ago), i couldn't find one that could handle Newsletters sent in HTML but that might not be the case any longer. Re: forwarding, fit your whole (HTML) Newletter into one big table and colour the table (which has a width of 100%) leaving the body background white. This way, when someone forwards the newsletter, there's a clear distinction where the forwarder's message starts and ends (that's assuming the forwarder retains the HTML format of course). __________________

I converted the whole page to tables and that has fixed the Forwarding issue... For that I thank you... as for the other point, let me try and explain more clearly... I have created an HTML that I would like to send to people as a newsletter.... The newsletter has some pics that are on my website, and all reference to these pictures in the newsletter (html) is in the form of www.... so When I view the file offline, it shows it as being 13kb and the pictures show as missing.... bit when I log on and try to email the newsletter, all the pictures get downloaded from the internet, and the email takes a long time to send and likewise for the recipients to recieve it.... I hope that explains it better...any ideas?
Thank you ever so much in advance, Ash |

This might take a bit of work. and if PHP is greek to you, then stay well away. But this might explain roughly what you want: www.phpbuilder.com
Outlook is infernal for being "clever" and doing what it thinks is what you want, often not the case. Garth Farley |
