Suggestion :: Editing Post In C++ SourceCode/TutorialHi guys,
Just yesterday, I posted a new thread to the SourceCode forum and today I found that I forgot to attach the zip file and the post needs some editing. I know that editing for post is not allowed after 90 mins, but I think that It should be always editable in the source code forums. You see, I may made alot of mistakes in the post and everytime I read it, there must be some thing that can be enhanced or improved in the post. I don't want to people to see the tutorial section and say that its all crap just because we can't edit our prev mistakes!!! So.. this is just my sugestion. Would like to hear your opinion. ps:/\/\I'mBored/\/\ __________________

Hi Max. This has actually come up before. While I agree with what you are saying, I don't think this is easily done. We have handled this in the past by dropping me a PM and then replying to your own post with your corrected post. I will then delete the original post. This is a work-around. Anyone else have any other thoughts? |

As we are talking about this particular forum, I have something that i don't understand. This particular forum is 'moderated' and everytime a new thread is posted, it takes some time to be visible to others, I'm not sure how long. I assume this is because the new thread need MOD approval. But why other unrelated thread like this gets approved and then you have to move it???
Maybe I'm asking stupid Q, but u know me, I'm an IDIOT whent it comes to webs,MODs,BulletinBoard and stuff... ![]() __________________

You insult me Max. I am the resident forum IDIOT. A new thread into the source code forum has to be moderator approved. How long depends upon how busy I am that day ![]() The problem is that several people don't read the rules and post questions into this forum. In order to move those threads, I must first validate them and then move them to the correct forum. I validated this particular thread and forgot to move it. It was a mistake, I understand the procedure, I just forgot to do it this one time.(Have you ever seen office space? - This topic is starting to remind me of the TPS cover sheets.) --- "I have 7 bosses, Bob." "I'll go ahead and make sure you get another copy of that memo." Best movie of all time. Cheers, d |

FWIW, dsmith and I have discussed about the Tutorial forum quite a bit in the past. I promised him that we will improve on the interface to submit and display your tutorials in the future.
However, I am currently working on gsearch which means this is on the back-burner until GIDSearch.com is done. __________________
