Apache perl version mismatch - can I fix it?I have been using XAMPP apache package, it worked just fine. But then I installed the Oracle 10g on the same machine, now my apache server won't start. Error message indicates that Oracle is asking for perl version 5.6.0, which does not match XAMPP apache perl version 5.8.0. First of all, I am very confused by this error, why would apache wants verify Oracle perl versions first before it can start? Secondly, I have no clue where do I begin to fix this problem. Anyone can point me a path to find a solution? I would very much appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

hmm, I wonder why Oracle is using this old perl version, might be because it's 'stable'
you can download perl 5.6.1 on http://activestate.com/Products/Down...?id=ActivePerl I hope that works, otherwise another download site with perl 5.6.0 has to be found |
