cd-r/rw drive not workingHey.. uhm I just registered @ this site, cuz i rly need some help and this looked like a nice helpful place to go to. well i got this harddrive about 7 months ago or so... and well as of about a month or 2 ago, whenever I put in a audio cd a game, or any type of disc nothing pops up and then I go to my computer and open up the drive and it is empty... please help. thanks a lot. -Sarah

You may want to try cleaning the drive. I think you can pick up a clean kit just about anywhere. There is also a CD you buy that cleans the laser of the drive as well. Or there is always the low tech approach open the drive and blow into it see if any dust comes out not sure if this is bad for the drive or not but I do it sometimes and it's never seem to hurt the drive.
