I was a little surprised to see an email from Google this evening, stating that they are now releasing targetted image ads to the Adsense program. I haven't tried it out yet, nor have I seen any sites running these image ads, but to me this could be a pretty big thing in the online ad business.

So Div, are you going to modify your AdSense codes to image/text? I am not, not yet at least.

I think, it's wonderful they did this and I am speculating that they did this for when they have to display a single ad in the ad unit. I always thought a single text ad in a LeaderBoard ad unit for example, looked simply retarded

Where were you looking? Have you enabled the option on your sites? I haven't changed anything here on GIDForums™ (nor anywhere on my other sites) so I don't expect to see one here for a very long time.

Odd I know, but I DON'T think I will ever do this for GIDForums™. I don't know, I think ONE (image) banner is just nice on GIDForums™ pages. To add the possibility of showing an additional leaderboard sized (image) banner doesn't appeal to me or anyone else I suspect.

I turned it on for one site. I finally did see it on another site...it was just a CJ banner.
