I'm not sure ewhat the problem is, but it's not working for me & I've tried it 3 times even pasting the code from another forum where it's working fine.

Here's what I inserted...

I have no idea what happened but that sounds like you were not at Level 2 (your current REP status) when you tried that before. The symptom you describe is one that many people at Level 1 will recognise i.e. any link you post anywhere here will simply turn into the domain name.

Please try again and if it still doesn't work, please do not remove the signature and let me know by replying here.

Still not working I saved it & left it in there for you.

In a thread someone else told me to contact them via their sig & their sig was missing too.

I just edited your last reply here and noticed that the signature was simply not enabled for the post. I enabled it and now it shows exactly the way you set it up.

If you do not wish to enable it every time you post, please set the option to show your signature on every post by setting the default option in your control panel here. Go to User CP, Edit Options, under Thread Display Options.


Please point them out to me so I can take a look again.

Ok, I've never in all my years had to check that off in options. Just saying & I belong to probably close to 100 forums, most of which are run by VB. That tells me that all forums have that turned on as a default.

In another matter, I think you have PMing turned off by default & this is causing a lot of problems b/c I've tried to PM about 4 people & it says they aren't allowing for PMs. This after people are asking me to PM them.

I don't even know where that setting is either as again, I've never had this problem PMing people on other forums before.

P.S. I see that the signature is showing up, but in my options, it's still not showing the text I wrote, it's still showing the URL (not the complete URL, the root domain).

Not sure what that's all about.

The option to use the internal Private Messaging (PM) tool is not available to new members. When it was enabled in the past, it was often abused. Now the option to PM members is only enabled for members who at Level 2 or higher.
