Dropped By Google...What am I doing wrong?About 3 months ago, my website had been doing fine...ranking fairly well in google for several keyphrases. Then all of a sudden, everything was gone. Does google elevate a new website's rank and then lower it to "normal" levels? Here's the site I'm talking about:
www.w3inet.com Any help would be appreciated. Thankx Andrew |

The website in question has (to-date) a PR of 4 (homepage), about 55 pages indexed inside Google and Google knows of about 5 backlinks to the homepage. I would say that is a good sign.
However, I noticed that the domain name was established quite a while ago, so why would you consider this a NEW web page rank? __________________

Get some links going to your siteQuote:
First thing I noticed is your link pop and its really weak... dude if you are suppose to be doing SEO you might want invest some time in link popularity and marketing of your site. Code seems fine, not any crazy meta / Alt / Anchor or Heading text issues to speak of... me thinks that Google just doesnt like what you are doing for some reason... 1) What keywords were you getting hit on? 2) What pages were they landing on? 3) Where were the coming from? 4) How long were they staying? 5) What page path did they take from the landing page? analysis is everything and web metrics is the tool to understanding what is the problem. Do you have a PPC / PI and Organic marketing plan? if so what isnt working? There are so many variables to ask one's head could spin right-off Your site looks good and loaded pretty fast > Not screaming mind you (DHTML can be the kiss of death if not done right) but hey anything is better than Flash for SEO..... Get yourself a decent web metrics tool and gather information on what is going on... because without it you are guessing .... and guessing is the wrong thing to do in business... you need to Know what is wrong. your website might not be your problem! The problem could be that one site that links to you has:
1. been deleted 2. removed your link 3. been blacklisted by Google. 4. linked to so many new sites that the value of your link is less 5. back linked to a link farm "bad neighbourhood" or google is being erratic it does happen. |

Just try to get quality backlinks (pr 4+ with the theme related to your site) & also optimise your Anchor Text with the keyword you are targeting.
