Hi everyone, good to see a friendly forum

Hi, Just joined up and im looking forward to getting to know some of you. My primary reason for joining was I wanted a good place to ask some questions about c++, but I don't mind a little chit chat on the side...

anyways, hi. <would have inserted smiley here but browser wont allow it>

Hi holbroo, Welcome to GIDForums™, Hope you enjoy your stay here. I think that you will find this a very good place to ask C++ question dsmith is the mod over on the C++ forums I think you will find him and the rest of our members over there helpful. I myself don't know C++ and don't visit that forum very often but from what I've seen they are very knowledgeable.

Hello holbrook,

Welcome to GIDForums™. Glad you found the C++ forums useful already; there are a few regular members on there that really add some class to the whole programming forum category.

pcxgamer, you don't visit the C/C++ forums??? ... but wasn't it you that created the very FIRST thread discussing C or C++ here on GIDForums™?

Hi Holbrook. Welcome to the forums. I saw your post in the C++ forums and it sounds like an interesting project. I hope to see you around there often.

PCXGAMER: You make me sad. :-( I visit your forums all the time!

Now look at that I done gone and hurt everybody’s feelings sorry guys didn't mean it that way. J is right I think I was the first to post about C and C++ so maybe I did start the whole thing But even if I did put learning C++ on hold for a bit I'm still glad we got it, it one of the most active forums here I think. Dsmith I didn't mean that I don't go to your forums I meant that I don't participate in posting there as I have no idea what I'm talking about. But I do look at and read ever thread on your forum. But that will soon change has I have plans to start back learning C++ very soon then you will see a lot of my post there.

Hello and welcome. Your title says a friendly forum. Have you had a bad experience or unfriendly forum?

I think holbrook was just being polite. Though there are sometimes really, seriously, unfriendly forums around too - I should know, it is one of the main reasons why GIDForums™ exists today.

Yeah, I agree I have met some uptight and silly admin's at one or two other forums.
