How do you print a web page?

Hi,

I want to create a hard copy (printed paper) portfolio of some of the designs Ive created, but Im not sure how to print a web page. I think it can be done in PS. If the web site was created in 72 dpi RGB resolution, I'm assuming it wouldnt print well because its not a high resolution CMYK image, am I correct?
Ive already created a CD portfolio, but is there a way to print (hard copy) a nice crisp clean image of a web page to show a client/ employer.

Thank you

I tried this just a now and it worked for me but I'm not sure this is what you need. On the keyboard hit CTRL+P that will give you the print screen and then just set it up the way you want it or just hit OK then it should print the page your looking at. I hope this helps.

There's some great free screen capture programs found here: http://www.nonags.com/nonags/grcapt.html

MWsnap is my particular favourite though.

Hope this helps.

I've tried a few screen capture programs, and the one I settled on was HyperSnap. It has a command line interface (the only one I found) that made scripting a breeze. Just execute the command from a Command Line Script.

What's the deal with the screen capture programs? What's wrong with just using the PrintScreen/SysRd key on your keyboard and then Ctrl + V (paste) into something like Paint or Photoshop?

Its all down to quality and format. I'm not sure about the technicalities of it, but PrintScreen can be incredibly grainy at times, especially if your going for something as big as 1024x768 and screen capture programs get round that problem. It also allows you to make nearly everything disappear off your screen apart from the item you want to capture without having to obliterate your desktop setup each time.

The reason I looked for something like HyperSnap was I needed to capture a lot of screens for some documentation and rather than laboriously bring up each screen, Copy/Paste into Paint, Save, then get the next screen I had essentially a batch script that could bring up a page, run hypersnap saving the window I needed, and continue without operator intervention. It would also capture expanded menu items easily. I just tried that with the PrtSc and now the Edit menu is locked on the screen, I can't get rid of it

These programs are very useful when creating documentation.

Oh yes, I understand now how a program like that can make a huge difference.
