hi everybody..

i have a problem with my hotmail e-mail. it has been hacked, and the massages had been destroyed. also the hacker had changed my password. the quistion is how could i fix this problem, and how i prevent my e-mail. also how could i know if my computer had been hacked also.

That's a humdinger if ever there's one.

First of all, how would you know your messages are destroyed if the password has changed? If you can see your inbox, then you can change your password.

Things you should do:

1) email hotmail support & say what's happened. Make sure you prove yourself fully, give details you used to sign up. Hopefully they're sympathetic and will help.

2) get a new email address & tell everyone in your address book about it. Have a good password in future, one that can't be easily guessed.

You cannot prevent messages sent if your account is taken over.

It's very unlikely your computer has been hacked. How you know is hard, but it may be doing strange things & files are dis/appearing. Try installing a firewall, do a search for Outpost firewall, good & free!

Well done for getting it back. I hope you've used a more complex password.

The hacker mustn't be very good to have forgotten to change the secret question.

Was your account used for spam, were the folders empty? I do know of accounts that had easily guessed passwords, and were subsequently used for relaying spam, especially to those in the address book.

I hope this isn't the case for you.
