Hardware helpOk, I have the evga 5900 ultra. Has the VIVO. Now i was wondering If i could plug my sat receiver into the card using the s-video in and watch tv on the screen since my screen is a 32 inch plazma, save me from buying a tv. Anyone know how i could get this to work? what program id need to actualy display whats being sent in from the receiver.

I will need to look into this. I don't have sat at home but cable so I can't test this. But if I'm right I want to say that your card will output video but will not be able to receive from your receiver. I may be wrong about this I will need to do a little more research into the matter.

But the 5900 is vivo, it takes video in and puts video out depending, and wouldnt the receiver just be like a vcr for example?

Ok take a look at this see if it will help you. It says that your card has a video in/out but it talks about being able to capture video and play it back. If I'm not mistaken I do this with a video-capturing device that I use to recorded to my computer and watch it later. So I'm not sure that would help you out.
