This sure sounds wierd. Do you ever have any problems with your system, say in terms of freeze ups? If everything is fine, I wouldn't worry about it.

Have you updated drivers?

Reinstalling or updating the drivers could cause multiple entries in the registry, especially if the new drivers don't uninstall the old ones first. Run a registry cleaner program and see if it corrects the number showing.

If you have changed the drivers, then I would recommend the next time you upgrade, switch your system to old VGA mode and uninstall the old drivers, then install the new drivers while your still in VGA mode. That should keep the multiple entries from occuring.

If you aren't having any problems, then I wouldn't worry about it. I've caused so many more problems by trying to fix something that was odd but not affecting anything.
