hi...recently I've signed up for a blog. I decided to change the skin. however, when i changed back, a banner ad suddenly appeared...and the worse thing is, it wont go away no matter what i do. How do you get rid of the banner ad? i cant find anything about the banner ad in my codes until i launch the page and "view source" then i saw the code that's causing the banner ad to appear. I wanna get rid of it!

And also, how do you get rid of popups? it's like whoever views my blog, there will be so many windows opening up. Can somebody guide me through this? Thanks.

Sometimes the server will generate an ad to display upon page load.

Check with your host, see if they are causing it. Else, look in your code again!

As Bobby said, it's controlled by the server. This is how they pay for your free site -- by making it obnoxious.

When someone visits your site, the software on the servers adds ads to your code before sending it to your browser. You have no control over it. The only thing you can control is the popups by using a popup blocker or use Metscape, Mozilla, FireFox that can automatically block them.
