Obvioulsy i hit the ignore then i get the following message.

"COLONIZE caused a General Protection Fault in
module COLONIZE.EXE at 0006:34A2
Chose close. COLONIZE will close."

I had this same problem. It is in the Win95 version of the game.

It happened in two different games once in 1558 or so and once in 1560 or so.

I could never fix it. However, I was able to save the game right before it happened, load it in the dos version, play through that turn, and then reload the game in the Windows version... A cumbersome but viable option if you want to keep playing in the windows version.
