Fan QuestionsI have a couple questions about fans.
1. Is there a way to increase the CPU fan's RPM, such as some attachment that increases the voltage of some sort? If there is a way, what do I need to do or buy? 2. Also, is there a way to delay the shut off of fans until a period of time after the computer is turned off? Is there a way to do the same thing, only before the computer turns on? Am I in the right neighborhood when I think of a battery of some sort that charges while the computer is on? |

Try Radio Shack or a electrical hobby store. They should have potentiometers/rheostats that allow you to change the voltage going to the fan, thereby changing the speed. Or just buy a fan that runs faster.
Obviously you can't run the fan when the power is off, normally. If you have a separate circuit, say coming from your wall outlet, then you could run your fans off that. A rechargable battery could work, but you would have to check your amps required for the fan vs. the output of the battery. There are several after-market fan kits that allow you to adjust fan speed, even using temperature, but I don't know of any that run the fans w/o the computer running. __________________
