Hi all, i am a student in programming, i know java, c++ but i am intrested in java and html (i do not know much of html other then basics).
i aso wanted to create an application like a 2 tiers model so here is my set up knowing that the intenet isp is giving me a dynamic ip address that does to modem (ethernt) that goes to a wireless gateway modem/router 1701 hg that connect both : the laptop and the my main desktop to the internet:
1 - laptop has win2008 trial standard edition ip address 69.14.24.176
2 - desktop has a win vista with a wireless pci desktop card ip:69.14. 28.46
3 - i am using Netbeans 6.7 to create a web application

i got to the part where i don't know html so i read a crach tutorial it helps but i never got what is jsp and servelet.?

i am intrested to know about the web application architecture so i can identify how create a web app and deploy it later on but all this is confusing specially that i only studeied standard java is school not j2ee
