As far as your question, I am not sure if someone would be willing to post a complete program, especially when it sounds like it is completing homework. However, people here would be happy to help you code this and answer your specific questions.

As for me, my school days are long since past and I can't even remember what an automata is. I remember learning about them and actually programming them but that was some time ago.
