Quadratic Equation

"There is a rectangular room of length l and width w (l and w are integers). The length and width of the room fulfill the relation l=Aw+B, where A and B are given integer constants.
The room is divided into square cells of unit dimensions. You have observed that, after adding an integer C to the number of cells in the room, the number of cells becomes divisible by the prime number P."

can anyone plz help me in solving this problem...

Re: Quadratic Equation

If you were to solve this on paper, how would you begin? What steps would you take to derive a solution. If you can present that here, we can help you map that to code.

There is no problem. At least, none was stated. What we have are "your" observations about some mathematic relationships. There is no problem to be solved. There is no "prove this to be correct" or anything else as stated.

The number of cells can always be divisible by any prime number P. Perhaps you mean "evenly" divided by?

In other words, what is the problem? Do you need to model this behavior in code? Without at least some kind of rudimentary statement of the actual problem, the "problem" is already solved.

Re: Quadratic Equation

his asking for the formula that fulfills this description. Im just starting math so I can solve this just yet.. but it seems rather easy.

Re: Quadratic Equation

I am curious: why did you start this thread with the title, "Quadratic Equation"?
