z1.adserver.com....grrrI have this....problem....with ad popup's my machine at the moment.
Somewhere on my system is lurking a popup link to z1.adserver.com. I'll be merrily using my computer when my now exiled IE, will attempt a popup with an advert from z1.adserver.com However, I've run Lavasoft's adaware, Spybot's S&D, Norton AntiVirus, HijackThis and still the sucker preys on my system, what can I do to purge this menice from my life ? I've recently also had another problem, although I think this is to do with z1.adserver.com crap. When I start my machine everything is fine, then when I connect to the internet, after a moment or two. Windows tells me that my virtual memory is running low. When I look at the processes in task manager explorer is on overdrive hogging the CPU, therefore the only way to rectify the problem is to shut down explorer.exe and then start it up again, otherwise the machine is unusable. Has anyone got any advice that can ease my pain.....? |

Have you searched for that string in the registry? I wouldn't recommend blindly deleting anything from in there...but does it show up atall?
You can also try BHODemon...its a little utility that might be helpful. |
