Normalise Audio (or Volume Leveling) Software?
I don't know the correct term for the thing I am trying to do so let me describe it.
I have 2 videos from 2 different sources that I am trying to produce into a DVD. Everything is fine except that one video clip is a lot louder than the other one!
I am using Nero Vision 4 to create the DVD. And yes, there is an option for me to adjust the audio (of each video file I import into this program) within the programme itself but I would rather not touch this because I would have to rely on my ears and that is simply too unreliable, especially if I decide to add even more videos to the project.
I have already a software that will allow me to extract the audio (returning .ac3 files) from the video files (.mp4) and I am now actively looking for a software that will re-encode both audio files so they playback at same or similar volume levels. Anyone with a suggestion? Has to be open source software only.
