Re: help neededQuote:
If you are a novice programmer and this is your code, it is very well written for a newbie. Have you programmed in some other language? I got zero errors and zero warnings when I compiled (to object file) your code. Why not discuss the program a bit more and let those here get an idea for what it is that you are looking to do before asking for their email addresses? Note that in your code, I'd recommend that you use const correctness properly. Many of the parameters to your functions should be const. Is there some reason why you use JAVA_DOC style in your .h and seem to forget the "other starting star" in your .c? It appears that you want to use Doxygen to document your code. Since the code is shown as "Public Domain," why not just post it here inside of [c] ...your code... [/c] and hash it all out on the forum? There doesn't seem to be anything "secret" or "protected" about it, so why not just post it and open a forum-wide discussion about it? You may want to start with some kind of vision statement or an objective, goal or something that helps frame what it is that you're hoping to accomplish--other than the obvious of what this code appears to want to do. You mention ADT. Assume that either we don't know what ADT stands for, or that it could have multiple meanings without a better explanation. I'm guessing that it has to do with average daily traffice at airports--given the airport database thing, but who really knows but you? If you want help with your assignment and want to keep everything on the "down low," you may find some resistance from those here to offer help due to their perspectives on academic honesty. Some here tend to take the position that providing working code examples encourages academic dishonesty or, at the very least, promotes a "don't try it first by yourself" kind of "lazy" approach. I tend to disagree, as I believe that a working example is sometimes very useful for getting someone started like turning on a light bulb in a dark cellar. Suddenly, all of the nooks and cranies are visible and "light is shed" on some of the activities that are needed to make something realizable. I don't mind helping you. If you'd like, PM me and we can go from there. I would like to first know what your objective for the code is and the scope of the project so that I know what I'm getting myself into before diving into the water without first checking how deep it is. You mention database, so I'm guessing that there is some public database that needs to be accessed in some manner for you to do what it is that you want your code to do. I could guess at what it is that you want to do for about a decade, but I'm probably going to stop guessing by the end of this reply. Do take WaltP's advice and read the guidelines. MxB |
