Japanese gameHi guys,
I have just written a game in C++. I have done a version in Japanese. This means that the writing or text is written in Japanese. I will post a few screen shots soon. My computerised calligraphy is better. It is a font to be taken seriously. Also, the score counting system is accurate and legible. Japanese is funny, it is a little like decimal, then it goes off the scale. It was really fun to program. I wrote the math library myself, using a Japanese to English translation book and a *10 magnifier I use for work (printing). A simple Japanese document development kit for American PC's is simple: 1. Use a Calligraphy felt tip (quite thick), write a letter (10cm * 10cm) and scan into PC. 2. Scan as .tiff. First try 300 dpi (Dots Per Inch). 3. Cut out letter and save as seperate file. 4. Develop a library. 5. Use Adobe, Inkscape or Powerpoint to load each letter and produce a Japanese Document. Scale down the image of the letter. This really helps fine tune the resolution. 6. This applies to any strange language, i.e., Chinese, Cantonese, Arabic, Hebrew. This applies to developing games, as well as developing foreign documents on an American PC. Can anyone help me to market the game in Japan? I do not actually speak Japanese. The game is less than 10MB, so the product can be emailed. It would go on a Budget Internet Downloadable Game Website. |
