Hi
I have the old cgi error
"The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers"
When I google this, pages come up -- lotsa pages....ugggg.

Web site was running fine - then this error occurred. I am a newbie with web page stuff and the site was written in perl - any one help?

Re: CGI error

Did you try any of the links that Google returned? I am guessing you tried the first one, which is how you found this forum, but did you try the second?

Re: CGI error

currently my cgi file is as follows

print("hello");

I think it should be revised per the MS bulliten which reads as follows...

print "HTTP/1.0 200 OK\n";
print "Content-Type: text/html\n\n\n";

What do you suggest the syntax should be? Thanks

I tried
print "HTTP/1.0 200 OK";
print "hello": text/html;

and no difference - same error
Thanks for your help

I think this is a case of the blind leading the blind, but maybe this will help.

Re: CGI error

I loaded IIs and will work on the perl script test. From what I have read, and because this used to work, I think MS changed something that results in this error. It has something to do with the speed of CGI execution. So in otherwords, I may be able to get it to work on IIs, but may not work on my host.
