This is a new system that i`ve just finished building and all seems fine until i load up the online MMORG Shadowbane. As soon as i take control on my character ingame a strange ticking noise can be heard from the case, and specificaly the GFX card. The sound does seem to get worse when the card is under load, i.e. when moving through high item density are`s but changing the display settings right down to a minimum has no effect. Eventually the game will either lock up or the whole PC will reset.

I`ve also noticed that i get the high pitched whine that other people have reported on this forum, especially when scrolling down a web page or txt document. Infact after just reboting the PC i can hear the whine is there constantly, just very faint.

This is the only game i`ve tested so i`m unsure if it`s a all round problem but i have no others to test it with right now. I`ve tried to include as much information as i can but please ask for more if more would help.

Sounds like there might be a problem with the cards cooling.
Since u bought a 5600, u would probably be best just changing it for a better card (everyone seems to have a problem when they get a 5600). My dad bought 1 for his computer and (surprise surprise) it didnt exactly work well either. There were numerous problems in games, and i benchmarked it in 3dmark2001se, and it only got a score of about 5500!
For u id recommend a 9600xt. Theyre about £15-£20 dearer than fx 5600s but theyre about 25 times better.
