in html they have:
<form method="post">

and can use $_POST from php.
do xml has this function?

The point of XML is that you design your own tags and attributes. If you want to use a post attribute in XML, you certainly can. PHP has built-in functions for XML parsing, so you can easily retrive the value of the post attribute that you define.
