Apache Web ServerHi All,
I consider my self to be a newbie as far as Apache Web Server is concerned. I need to design an application which would make use of a Web Server to accept hundreds and thousands of concurrent requests to stream images from a folder (folder would be on the same machine as that of the web server) to clients (a client for this application would be a Mobile device - cell phone). The server side application would be codded in Java, while the client application would be codded in J2ME. The Mobile device would invariably be connected to the Internet via GPRS/3G connection. How far would Apache Web Server help me to make my application highly scalable? Please enlighten me on this issue and if possible, suggest a solution. Thanks. Shanker |
