I am working with the nov 2008 directx sdk, VC++ 2008 express, and windows vista.

I am new to D3D and am looking for some good tutorials for it.

I have been hunting for tutorials for a few hours and mostly found ones that did not explain what was going on.

The ones included with the SDK are good but still dont explain everything.

Also I would like to know if anyone knows of a list of functions and the like used in D3D.
