New CPU, Mobo, RAM But I have a few questions?¿

Ok just want to introduce myself I'm Cyrus and I'm new to these forums I just ordered a new CPU mobo and ram and wanted to know what you guys think for my new budget components.

Motherboard - ASUS M3A78 supports 1066 ram but I'll upgrade that ram a little later when I have more money

Procesor - CPU AMD A64 X2 6000 3.0GHz 2mb L2 cache L1 Cache: 128KB+128KB

RAM- 4GB Patriot RAM Timeing 4-4-4-12 DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

Do you guys think I would have been better off with a tri core processor running at only 2.3GHz or my dual core running at 3GHz? I mainly use my computer for gaming (COD4 COD world at war, UT3 and so on. Also would I get the most out of this hardware using only 32 bit windows XP pro as apposed to a 64bit vista OS? Thanks guys and girls.

Other comp SPECS:
-BFG 7800 GTX 256mb
-Audigy 2 Platinum sound card.
-Thermaltake case

Hi friend,
If you used your pc only for games then dual core 3.0 GHZ enough.I can't play any game you describe here but if it's graphically strong then dual core was better one.
