Looking to buy a refurbished monitor, a few ?'sHello everyone,
I just registered b/c this forum looks like a good one. I have a few questions for those who think they can answer it. I am in the market for a 21"-22" CRT monitor. I want to run dual monitors for recording purposes (mixing consoles can take up the whole screen) and I started looking around the net for some good deals. I came across this Mitsubishi 22" Flat CRT monitor Refurbished for $199 + $49 shipping. www.dealsdepot.com I just wanted to ask if refurbished monitors were ok or crap, and does this website look sketchy or legit. If anyone knows where to get good deals on quality monitors please let me know. Thanks in advance, Hunter |

Hello Awake,
When you say 'refurbished'; does that mean that it's like... NOT new? ![]() Maybe it's just me, but I would NEVER buy a 2nd hand monitor. I may buy other things that are 2nd hand but never a monitor. Since we stare into the screen when we're using the computer, it's the single most important piece of equipment for the single most important body part ![]() Save on other things, just not the monitor <-- that's my opinion of course. __________________

I would only buy a second hand/refurb monitor from a local store that will give me some warranty/money back guarantee. As Jds mentioned, you never know what the monitor is like until you see it in action and I wouldn't wanna pay high s/h for a relatively cheap purchase and possible exchanges/refunds.
