Input method ONLY works when mouse pointer move out of window in Linux (FLTK2)Hello:
I have used FLTK2 for some time, unicode text shows normal in Linux, but the following input method's problem in FLTK2 seems exist from the earliest FLTK2 version till now: In Linux(X11), I compiled fltk2 library, and run the "editor" program in "test" directory of fltk2 source tree. I found that I can ONLY input english words when mouse pointer is in main window range of the program, and input method can't been called out; however, if I move mouse pointer out of main window or just move it to window's title bar(but NOT IN window), input method can successfully been called out, also unicode text is able to been inputed. I tried almost all versions of fltk2, just run editor program, input method doesn't work in all of these versions when mouse pointer is out of window. My test environment is: Fedora core 4/5/6, fltk2 r6087 ~ r6483 Input method: fcitx (Simp Chinese) Best wishes for helping me to resolve this problem, thank you |

Re: Input method ONLY works when mouse pointer move out of window in Linux(FLTK2)I was originally working in FLTK 2, but found it to be quite buggy and the look did not seem to be that great. I switched to 1.1.9 and found it to be much better. In a sense it wasn't as buggy and the widgets looked more modern.
I did some research into this and it seems like 2 isn't an updated 1.1, but an entire new branch. |

Re: Input method ONLY works when mouse pointer move out of window in Linux (FLTK2)Thanks sam, cause FLTK2 has a notable advantage: UTF-8 text show/input support, fltk1-utf8 is not so suitable for me, and unicode text input in Linux is prerequisite for my program...
