Windows 2000 & NT source code leakBreaking News!
www.neowin.net has reported that parts (if not the entirety) of the source for Windows 2000 and NT has been illegally released on the internet. Microsoft has www.microsoft.com. This news is potentially hazardous, let's hope the Windows source doesn't show up any more holes. Strangely enough, many comments on this story on Slashdot are concerned with Linux source, with many fearing that chunk of 2k source will end up in the kernel. Garth Farley Note: As in the Neowin forum, do not attempt to post up links/screenshots or exerpts from the source code. I get the feeling Microsoft's legal team will be very busy... |

Actually alot of the comments on slashdot have revolved around this funny but erily accurate parody:
Quote:
The point is that open-source developers are holding up a wooden cross to this thing. It is dangerous to even glance at anything to do with this source code. It could literally taint a developer for life... |

Man that was pretty funny! I wonder if the Win2k source leak was in any way related to the Half-Life 2 source leak. You know... like, "First half-life, then the world! Muahaha!"
